Privacy Policy
EGAProtocol is a sovereignty-first open standard. This website reflects that posture. We collect no personal data, set no cookies, and run no third-party advertising or tracking.

1. What we collect
Nothing that identifies you. This site uses Plausible Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-first analytics service hosted in the European Union. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track visitors across sites or over time. It records only aggregate counts of page views, referrer domains, country (derived from IP, then immediately discarded), browser, and operating system.
No individual user profile, device fingerprint, advertising identifier, or cross-site identifier is ever created. Your IP address is never stored.
2. Cookies
This site sets no cookies. No consent banner is therefore required under the EU ePrivacy Directive, GDPR, the UK GDPR, or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), 2023.
A single item is stored in your browser’s localStorage under the
key egap-theme. This records your chosen light / dark theme
preference so the site does not flash the wrong theme on subsequent visits.
It is strictly a functional preference stored on your own device, is never
transmitted, and can be cleared at any time from your browser.
3. Third-party services
The site loads the JetBrains Mono typeface from Google Fonts
(fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com).
Google Fonts may receive your IP address as part of the font request.
No other third-party service is loaded, embedded, or contacted.
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub’s own infrastructure may log access metadata for security and abuse-prevention purposes; see GitHub’s Privacy Statement.
4. Email
If you email us at hello@egaprotocol.org, security@egaprotocol.org, or governance@egaprotocol.org, your message and email address are retained only for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry and to maintain an audit record of governance or security correspondence.
5. Your rights
Because we collect no personal data and store no cookies, there is generally no personal information for us to access, correct, or delete. If you have corresponded with us by email, you may request access to or deletion of that correspondence by writing to hello@egaprotocol.org.
This site’s posture is intentionally aligned with the GDPR, the UK GDPR, and India’s DPDP Act. Residents of other jurisdictions may have equivalent rights under local law.
6. Changes to this policy
Material changes to this policy will be announced on the project discussions and reflected in the “Last Updated” date above.
